DVD Review -Beautiful Something (2016)

Beautiful something is the new release from the amazing folks at Peccadillo Pictures who have brought us in the past such films as GBF and Holding the Man. Releasing on UK DVD from Monday, November 7th, 2016.

In this unapologetic look at four diverse gay men living and loving in the big city, navigating through sex, love and art. Trying to think a purpose in their lives and ultimately trying to find themselves.

Beautiful Something Is quite possibly one of my favourite films of the year so far, as the year is coming to an end very soon I really can not see any other film coming out that will beat my love for this one. Once again Peccadillo Pictures manage to bring out another storm chaser of a film.

I think I loved this film the most because of how powerful it was, it shows the struggles of addiction, addiction of being with someone that you know you shouldn’t also being in love with someone who doesn’t love you back. The struggles of being true to yourself and trying to find your way in life. Everything about this film was wonderful and heartbreaking. I did have its funny moments though it was not all doom and gloom. But the film stays real and passionate to its audience and stand above a lot fo other LGBT films. It is the film’s raw and true to life feel that I think makes so powerful and strong.

I don’t think I have felt this way about an LGBT film, or a film in general dealing with sexuality since I seen Geography Club a couple of years ago.

Once again it goes to show that film is about passion, the art of telling a story and bringing to life the struggles of young people. Especially those within the entertainment industry. This film was just a fantastic and stunning watch.

I loved every second of it and I urge you to go and watch Beautiful Something when it makes its UK DVD Debut on November 7th.
