dumb and dumber sequel in the works? Bobby Farrelly Thinks it might happen!
With The Farrelly Brothers HALL PASS about to be releaed in UK & Ireland on March 11th the Brother focus there attentions to the future and according to Bobby Farrelly he’s revealed their plans. With the brothers agonisingly working through the Marx Brother’s project trying to get themselves a cast in place to kick off production Bobby Farrelly has been talking to Moviehole reaveling that there planning to go back to one of their old movies to give it a sequel to DUMB & DUMBER!
The 1994 movie starred Jim Carey & Jeff Daniels as two brainless but kind hearted friends who try to return a suitcase full of money to its pretty owner. They were molded in the shape of Laurel and Hardy but more stupid the movie was a sucess and wwas during the brothers most sucessfull era but if this is to gain any interest you need Cary with Daniels not new faces, this is what Bobby said about the matter:
“[Dumb and Dumber] has run a bunch of times on TV in the states, and kids will come up and they’ll be able to quote lines from that – lines that I’ve long forgotten. If we could get those two guys back together, Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels that might be a worthwhile sequel – and that ball is in motion. We’re starting to think about what those two dimwits would be doing twenty-years later in life, and hopefully we’ll be able to come up with something worthy of a sequel.”
I wasn’t a fan of the movie or JimCarey for the fact but I did understand the popularity of the movie and with so many movies either been remade or coming back after a long time it could be good to see the original dumb & Dumber return nearly 20 years on.Jim Carey would be able to pull it off but would Jeff Daniels want to reprise his old role? more to the point is dumb & dumber a movie you would like to see return?
