Destruction Ablaze In The New Godzilla Second UK Trailer
He may have been crazy in Breaking Bad but Bryan Cranston maybe the one that will save us from annihilation and extinction as Warner Bros unleash the beast in a new UK trailer for Godzilla.
We excited or are we excited? We’re excited! The new trailer delivers us more new destructive and may have only been couple of weeks since the first trailer but this one delivers us some epic visuals and Big G with an appetite for some carnage.
The new trailer has a certain Akira feel and speaking to Popular Mechanics director Gareth Edwards explains the cult Anime was a big inspiration not just for him but his concept designer too…. “I think one of the most visually breath-taking films ever made is Akira. In terms of films you’re jealous you didn’t make, Akira is in my top ten for sure.My concept designer, it’s his favorite graphic novel. We pulled all our favorite moments from Akira and had this library of reference, so whenever we got stuck, or we ever felt like a sequence wasn’t inspired enough, or we didn’t know exactly how to give it that edge to made it feel as epic as we could, we would always thumb through the Akira imagery and suddenly get a wave of excitement or a new direction.” [quote source-Empire]
Along with the new footage there is a first (& better) look at some of films other central characters Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen and Sally Hawkins. I don’t if I was seeing things but the quick scene on what maybe Manhattan Bridge it looked like a giant winged possible creature is there a possibility that Gareth Edward’s version may also have other monsters from Godzilla’s past? Was that a glimpse of Rodan?
