Next month Gru will return to our cinema screens in Despicable Me 3 and in the latest and final UK trailer, it seems Gru is embracing his ‘old ways’. Embracing his villainous past as his delightful little loyal Minions attempt escape from prison. Will he return to the ‘dark side’ with a little help from his brother Dru or stay as that father figure of a hero to his three girls?
We have, to be honest, we actually didn’t mind Despicable Me 2 which many said suffered the typical second movie let down. The third movie, however, does show a lot more promise and if you adore the Minions, you’ll probably do this new trailer. Those little cheeky bananas run the show, most of all run the prison, essentially embracing their loyalty to been villains!Creating a dancing gang inside and of course hijinks, buffoonery most of all funny things will happen will people love (even if some people may call them annoying).
Despicable Me was all about love and acceptance, the second movie was Gru back on the dating game now he’s a ‘father’ looking for someone to love and be the girls ‘mother’. This third movie looks like will focus on family and Gru and his brother Dru who wants to cause ‘trouble’. So if Dru is looking like the ‘villain’ what part does Balthazar Bratt play or does this suggest the brothers may team up?
In Despicable Me 3, Balthazar Bratt(Trey Parker), a former child star who’s grown up to become obsessed with the character he played in the ‘80s and proves to be Gru’s (Steve Carrell)most formidable nemesis to date.
Despicable Me 3 is set for a 30th June 2017 UK, Irish and the USA release date with Kristen Wiig, Miranda Cosgrove, Dana Gaier, Nev Scharrel, Steve Coogan, Jenny Slate and Julie Andrews.
