Italian filmmaker Davide Melini might be known to some of the fans of Penny Dreadful as one of their directors, he’s also working on establishing himself as a director in his own right. Like many established directors Davide has created a number of short films and today we get a look at his latest short film, Lion. Watch trailer…
In Lion we find ourselves in an isolated chalet in a snowy forest… A man blinded by alcohol… A woman unable to rebel… And an 8-year-old child troubled and dark… The silent night is broken with cries… the start of a terrible nightmare…
Davide also worked on Dario Argento’s Mother Of Tears, he also has a number of short films under his belt including an nomination for The Donatello Award for The sweet hand of the White Rose in 2011.Lion looks an intense edition to Davide’s CV and to give the film the best of chances, he’s worked with producers, make up artists, assistants even stunt men who have worked in some of the biggest tv and films. From Marvel Universe films, Titanic, Game Of Thrones, Harry Potter and The Dark Knight Rises.
Man’s biggest fear has risen again! and it’s called Lion! If you enjoy this one Davide is already working on his next short film Deep Shock which is set for release sometime in 2017.
