Dave Franco And O’Shea Jackson Jr. Star In Trailer For Idiots
The Independent Film Company has released the trailer for Idiots starring Dave Franco and O’Shea Jackson Jr.
The film follows two unqualified guys who are hired to transfer a wealthy teenager to rehab, but their seemingly simple journey soon spirals out of control. The film is written and directed by Macon Blair, with Idiots being his third feature film. The other two include 2017’s I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore as well as the wild adaptation of The Toxic Avenger starring Peter Dinklage.
Outside of directing and writing, Blair has made acting appearances in hits such as Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, Sean Baker’s The Florida Project, and Steven Soderbergh’s Logan Lucky. He has also appeared in all of his own films, including Idiots.
The rest of the cast includes the star of the live-action How to Train Your Dragon films, Mason Thames, who steps into the leading role of Hiccup in those films, but here he plays Sheridan, the teenager the two are taking to rehab. Dinklage, Kiernan Shipka and Nicholas Braun round out the rest of the cast.
The film had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival this year, before making a stop at the SXSW Film & TV festival too.
