No one saw this coming! Darren Aronofksy according to Heat Visionย is in line to create a “cybernetic thriller” called Machine Man for Mandalay Pictures. Before you say anything this is not a comicbook its actually based on a book by Max Varry then adapted for the screen by Mark Heyman who co-wrote Black Swan with Aronofsky and the report does mention the director close to signing the deal to direct Wolverine 2 which should shoot 2011 and Machine Man now looks like the next project after Wolverine!

Deadlineย posted a description by Mandalay about Machine Man as a amped up pop-thriller about a geek gadgetย  who happens to be a engineer at a top company and bored of living a unoticedย  average life he decides to take things into his own hands and start self-improvement. He now become obbessed with improving himself he replaces weak fleshy parts with high-end titanium parts to make himself the perfect upgrade but there is another darkside to the story, he ย discovers other entities have designs on him for their own personal motives.

Is this a start of robot-esque movies? possibly as we do have Steven Speilberg’s Robopoclypse on the agenda and I have to admit im now like the kid let loose in a toy shop after its been locked up after trade hours with the sake of 2 robotic themedmovies to look forward to, so whats your thoughts of Darren Aronofskys now looking to get into sci-fi?
