The long wait is nearly over for fans of Stephen King fantasy novels The Dark Tower movie which will arrive in August. As fans of the books get very itchy feet on what the movie is going to be Sony Pictures teases further with a new promo.A featurette that looks at The Legacy Of The Gunslinger played by Idris Elba…

If you’re like me only heard of the Stephen King Books this movie will be based on, this featurette will give you the bare minimum to appreciate the movie. There are no cryptic clues just a look into the deep mythology of the gunslinger’s and his long-time adversary The Man in Black (Matthew McConaughey).

There are other worlds than these. Stephen King’s The Dark Tower, the ambitious and expansive story from one of the world’s most celebrated authors, makes its launch to the big screen. The last Gunslinger, Roland Deschain (Idris Elba), has been locked in an eternal battle with Walter O’Dim, also known as the Man in Black (Matthew McConaughey), determined to prevent him from toppling the Dark Tower, which holds the universe together. With the fate of the worlds at stake, good and evil will collide in the ultimate battle as only Roland can defend the Tower from the Man in Black.

The Dark Tower is set for an 18th August UK& Irish release date (The USA 4th August). Co-starring Jake Chambers, Abbey Lee, Fran Kranz, Jackie Earle Haley, Katheryn Winnick and Claudia Kim.
