Daredevil: Born Again’s Third Season May See A Reunion

Speculation includes the possibility that in Daredevil’s absence, Jones, Cage and Fist will band together as a “spin-off of the Defenders”. This will, of course, be the expansion of the original miniseries that hit Netflix in 2017, alongside the original Daredevil and Jessica Jones series, with these franchises sharing continuity with the MCU film franchise despite that media and other miniseries platforming on Disney +.
This canon of Daredevil moved to Disney+ in 2025, following the original Netflix spin being cancelled after three seasons. The revival is named after the 1986 comic arc by writer Frank Miller and artist David Mazzucchelli, which the third season of the original show loosely adapted.
Showrunner Dario Scardapane has confirmed that Wilson Fisk’s time as mayor of NYC is running out, and the show will soon switch to a new overarching storyline by the third season. Speculations include rumours that the third season will see Fisk and Murdock in prison, causing the remaining Defenders to protect the streets of New York.
Cox is back in the second season of the MCU/Disney+ show alongside Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk and Ritter as Jessica Jones.
