Daniel Radcliffe Is ‘Weird’ In Weird: The Al Yankovic Story First Trailer
It’s time to get Psyched and watch Daniel Radcliffe get ‘weird’ as Roku Channel release the official first teaser trailer for Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.
We have to say those young actors who grew up in blockbuster franchises have certainly made some interesting film choices. Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and off course Daniel Radcliffe who has played everything from farting dead body to now parody musician, Weird Al Yankovic.
What the film is all about is straight forward, charting the rise of the award winning comedian/ parody musician. Weird Al playing his trademark Accordion making parody of some of the big hits or period Al was at the top. With Madonna (Like A Surgeon), Michael Jackson (Fat) and Queen (Another One Rides The Bus), some of the musicians Al parodies.
The trailer does give us a taster of idiosyncrasies, even sounds we can expect. Will it go full on ‘weird’ or something a little more serious?
The Roku Original film will star Daniel Radcliffe in the titular role of “Weird Al” Yankovic. The biopic holds nothing back, exploring every facet of Yankovic’s life, from his meteoric rise to fame with early hits like “Eat It” and “Like a Surgeon” to his torrid celebrity love affairs and famously depraved lifestyle. Weird: The Al Yankovic Story takes audiences on a truly unbelievable journey through Yankovic’s life and career, from gifted child prodigy to the greatest musical legend of all time.
The film also stars Julianne Nicholson, Rainn Wilson, Toby Huss, with Evan Rachel Wood, and James Preston Rogers. Eric Appel (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Silicon Valley) is directing this one.
Weird: The Al Yankovic Story will be released on the Roku Channel, this Autumn, no exact date has been announced yet.
