Colum Eastwood’s Black Medicine Gets A UK Trailer

The film stars Amybeth McNulty (Stranger Things), Orla Brady (Fringe, American Horror Story) and Antonia Campbell-Hughes (Kelly + Victor) as well as John Connors (King Of The Travellers). The film written and directed by Screen International Star of Tomorrow 2020 winner Colum Eastwood. This is also Colum’s first feature film after making his name making several short films.

Campbell-Hughes plays a doctor who works on the black market covering illegal operations. When a young woman goes on the run from gangsters , the doctor gives her refuge. Breaking her medical oath and annoying her criminal employers too.

We’ve seen medical oaths challenged in various films, be intriguing to see one of a doctor challenged by criminals?!

Set in the heart of the Irish crime underbelly, Black Medicine follows Jo (Hughes), a black-market medic who carries out illegal operations for the criminal underworld. When she gives refuge to a young girl (McNulty), she must choose between breaking her medical oath or crossing her ruthless employers.

Signature Entertainment will release Black Medicine on Digital Platforms in the UK and Ireland from 12th July.
