Celebrated director and renowned cinema auteur Martin Scorsese on December 2nd (USA November 23rd) is still making first’s in his fantastic career when Hugo his first attempt at a family film will be released. The film also marks the directors first flurry into the dreaded 3D film but as early reviews are pointing out the 3D is fantastic and in a recent Q&A with MR 3D James Cameron held with Scorsese he gives his seal of approval which means essential viewing when the film is released! I think we can say even without the 3D a Martin Scorsese film is enough to say ‘I want to go!’.
Yahoo! have released a brand new clip from Hugo entitled ‘Big Machine‘ which shows Hugo (Asa Butterfield) show Isabelle (Chloe Moretz) the fantastic unique view from the clock tower. 5 new French posters for the film have been released showing off the films main characters and you’ll notice in France the film is stilled called Hugo Cabret! Hugo has a fantastic cast which includes Ben Kingsley, Sacha Baron Cohen, Jude Law, Ray Winstone, Christopher Lee, Helen McCrory, Richard Griffiths, Frances de la Tour, Emily Mortimer and Michael Stuhlbarg
Hugo tells the story of an orphan boy living a secret life in the walls of a Paris train station. With the help of an eccentric girl, he searches for the answer to a mystery linking the father he recently lost, the ill-tempered toy shop owner living below him and a heart shaped lock, seemingly without a key. Based on Brian Selznick’s award winning and imaginative New York Times bestseller, The Invention of Hugo Cabret, this magical tale is Academy Award(R)-winner Martin Scorsese’s first film shot in 3D.
