Christopher Walken To Head Impressive Cast For Adaptation of GODS BEHAVING BADLY?

God’s Behaving Badly is a best selling novel from British writer Marie Phillips, based on a comedy about the ancient Gods of Olympus living in modern day Hampstead London. The book has been a worldwide success its now heading for the big screen but not in the same surroundings.

Movieline are reporting the setting for the book is moving from Hampstead to Brownstone New York who live among us mere mortals and a young couple played by Alicia Silverstone, Ebon Moss-Bachrach get involved with the Gods which threatens not just their relationship but also the existence of humanity too!

What’s so impressive about this upcoming project is the cast to play the Gods: Christopher Walken (Zeus), John Turturro (Hades), Sharon Stone (Aphrodite), Edie Falco (Artemis), Phylicia Rashad (Demeter), Nelsan Ellis (Dionysus), Gideon Glick (Eros), Henry Zebrowski (Hermes) and Rosie Perez (Persephone). Dont expect the Clash Of The Titan’s style robes when in the presences of the great ones, the deities will be dressed like us, eat like us, live like us doing every shitty job under the sun to survive (or my case attempting to get one of those jobs!) .

If written and directed properly Gods Behaving Badly has the markings to be an fantastic satire, as well as a refreshing take on the Greek God storyline but here’s hoping its not a Greek Tragedy! Production of the movie is expected to kick off mid July.
