Chris Evans will hunt Ryan Gosling In Russo brothers thriller

Two Hollywood stars will meet on the screen for the first time in The Gray Man – the most expensive Netflix movie ever made, written and directed by the Avengers creators.

The streaming giant Netflix is among the few international corporations that were not harmed by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, rather the opposite. The profits of the company seem to be growing rapidly in the recent months and its managers therefore decided to launch the most ambitious project in the organization’s history. The budget of the new feature film titled The Gray Man should exceed unbelievable 200 million dollars and will be crafted by the same team that gave us the last two Avengers movies (the highest grossing films ever made, by the way) – the Russo brothers, Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. The first two will be directing the flick, Markus and McFeely will help Joe Russo with penning the script. On top of that – Netflix hired “the Captain America” himself (Chris Evans) and another Hollywood hunk, Ryan Gosling to play the lead characters. And that’s not all…

If everything will go well, Netflix is planning to create the whole new franchise of spy thrillers that should resemble James Bond. A bold idea indeed that can easily end up as a huge debacle. However, with such experienced and famous names on the board, we are definitely keen to see the result. The project is currently in pre-production stage and the filming will most likely begin in January 2021.

The Gray Man’s story is based on the 2009 American novel, created by Mark Greaney. Ryan Gosling will portray Court Gentry, a skilful assassin who is hunted across the globe by his former colleague – the CIA operative Lloyd Hansen (Chris Evans). “For those who were fans of Captain America: Winter Soldier, this is us moving into that territory in more of a real-world setting. That’s what this movie really means for us,” stated Anthony Russo. He added that we should prepare ourselves for thrilling action duel of two brilliant actors.

Although Gosling (First Man, La La Land, Drive) and Evans (Captain America, the Avengers, Knives Out) both belong between the most in-demand stars of contemporary Hollywood, they will be working together for the first time during their wonderful careers. Who else looks forward to watch them contend?
