Chris Evans Exchanges The Patriotic Gear For The Courtroom in New Trailer For Puncture
After finally getting my replacement cinema card through the post life got back to normality as I caught up with the latest releases and first up was Captain America:First Avenger which was a fun movie but very cheesy (at times cringeworthy). Chris Evans did fit the character Steve Rodgers very well, but for his next venture in movieland he will exchange the patriotic stars and strips slip on the braces and head to the courtroom for Puncture.
Like Matthew McConaughey Chris Evans seems to go shirtless quite alot but im sure the female populous wont be complaining in the opening scene of this legal drama Evans struts around shirtless, braces, red tie and white trousers before morphing into court room intensity. When a movie has “based on a true story” printed all over it I tread with caution especially if you don’t know the origins before you see the movie, it will be sensationalised as its a Hollywood flick, so what’s Puncture all about? Evan’s plays an young Houston based lawyer (who happens to have a ‘functioning’ drug habit) who takes on the case of nurses who are fighting against major corporations who are preventing the nurses getting a retractable needles which will prevent them been infected from any infections.
Intriguing stuff and this movie has suddenly appeared from nowhere 5 weeks before its American release date of September 23rd and its obvious Millennium Entertainment are trying to jump on the Captain America wagon to attempt to get some more bums on seats at a cinema near you. No word on the UK/Irish release just yet, for now check the movie’s official trailer below.
Mike Weiss (Chris Evans) is a talented young Houston lawyer and a functioning drug addict. Paul Danziger (co-director Mark Kassen), his longtime friend and partner, is the straight-laced and responsible yin to Mike’s yang. Their mom-and-pop personal injury law firm is getting by, but things really get interesting when they decide to take on a case involving Vicky (Vinessa Shaw), a local ER nurse, who is pricked by a contaminated needle on the job. As Weiss and Danziger dig deeper into the case, a health care and pharmaceutical conspiracy teeters on exposure and heavyweight attorneys move in on the defense. Out of their league but invested in their own principles, the mounting pressure of the case pushes the two underdog lawyers and their business to the breaking point.
