To say we’re not excited about Inherent Vice would be the understatement of the century, and today we have another look at the film with a hip 1980’s themed poster.

The film maybe set in 1970’s there is still an essence of the decade in this awesome poster reminiscent of album covers of some of 1970′ pop bands, with neon fonts a throwback to the decade. These posters are a little different from your standard film release, they are graphically in keeping with this psychedelic surf noir. Keep your eyes peeled for further character artwork over the next couple of weeks to have the whole collection!

The latest poster shows off Benicio Del Toro‘s character Sauncho Smilax and as you saw in the recent clips his character maybe Doc Sportello’s (Joaquin Phoenix) lawyer. After watching The Master last night Inherent Vice has crept further to the top of our must see list of 2015

When private eye Doc Sportelloโ€™s (Joaquin Phoenix) ex-old lady suddenly out of nowhere shows up with a story about her current billionaire land developer boyfriend whom she just happens to be in love with, and a plot by his wife and her boyfriend to kidnap that billionaire and throw him in a loony binโ€ฆwell, easy for her to say.

Itโ€™s the tail end of the psychedelic `60s and paranoia is running the day and Doc knows that โ€œloveโ€ is another of those words going around at the moment, like โ€œtripโ€ or โ€œgroovy,โ€ thatโ€™s being way too overusedโ€”except this one usually leads to trouble.

With a cast of characters that includes surfers, hustlers, dopers and rockers, a murderous loan shark, LAPD Detectives, a tenor sax player working undercover, and a mysterious entity known as the Golden Fang, which may only be a tax dodge set up by some dentistsโ€ฆ Part surf noir, part psychedelic rompโ€”all Thomas Pynchon.

โ€œInherent Vice,โ€ is the seventh feature from Paul Thomas Anderson and the first ever film adaption of a Thomas Pynchon novel.

Directed by Oscar nominee Paul Thomas Anderson and starring  Josh Brolin ,Owen Wilson; Reese Witherspoon,Katherine Waterston, Martin Short, Jena Malone and Joanna Newsom. Inherent Vice wil be  released on January 30th 2015, around the UK& Ireland.
