Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio Call MCU’s Daredevil: Born Again “A Fourth Season”

Anticipation for Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again is gathering more pace after the show had its premiere this week in the US and fans are desperate to know all about it.
At the red carpet, stars Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio were interviewed by multiple outlets, but whilst chatting to Deadline (see below) during the show’s premiere, D’Onofrio told them that he and the whole cast have been calling the new series the fourth season of the Netflix series, which first debuted in 2015.
“It’s like a fourth season of the original show… I mean, it’s called Daredevil: Born Again, and it’s the first season of that, but it’s the same tone, same guys, same misery, same excitement, same emotions, and more.”

Already met with some acclaim, Daredevil: Born Again isn’t the first time Cox and D’Onofrio have appeared as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Cox appeared in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home alongside Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire, as well as She-Hulk; whilst D’Onofrio’s Kingpin has appeared in both Marvel shows Hawkeye and Echo, with the latter featuring an appearance from Cox, also.
Daredevil: Born Again hails from showrunner Dario Scardapane and directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead. The upcoming MCU revival will also feature the return of Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/ Punisher, and Wilson Bethel as Benjamin Poindexter/ Bullseye. Joining them are franchise newcomers Sandrine Holt, Michael Gandolfini, Margarita Levieva, Michael Gaston, Nikki M. James, Arty Froushan, and Genneya Walton.
