Car Race Icons Clash In Race for Glory: Audi vs. Lancia UK Trailer

They rally to win as Signature Entertainment release the UK Trailer for Race for Glory: Audi vs. Lancia. Motorsport icons clash in the film based on the 1983 Rally World Championship.

We’ve many icons and rivals clash in various other motorsports Rush, Le Mans’ 66 more recently Ferrari. F1 might be the go to motorsport for Race For Glory it’s Rally Cars. To be precise, the well documented rivalry between Audi and Lancia.

The film stars Daniel Buhl who is no stranger to motorsports after starring in Rush. He plays Audi racing team boss Roland Gumpert with Riccardo Scamarcio as Lancia Team boss Cesare Fiorio.

The film is based around the 1983 Championship, Audi is leading. Fiorio is however determined to steal the win. The trailer highlights the stakes on the line professionally and personally especially for the Lancia boss.

Two iconic automobile titans go head-to-head in this high-speed retelling of the 1983 Rally World Championships. Up against formidable rival Roland Gumpert (Daniel Brühl, Rush) and his superior Audi team (including the Queen of Speed herself, Michèle Mouton) Lancia Team Manager Cesare Fiorio (Riccardo Scamarcio, John Wick: Chapter 2) faces certain defeat in the 1983 Rally World Championships. But Fiorio’s ingenuity and cunning rise to the challenge and he sets about trying to steal the victory. Also starring Volker Bruch (The Reader), Race for Glory: Audi vs Lancia is directed by Stefano Mordini (The Invisible Witness) from a script written by Filippo Bologna (Perfect Strangers), Mordini and Scamarcio.

Race For Glory also stars Volker Bruch, Katie Clarkson-Hill, Esther Garrel, Giorgio Montanini, Gianmaria Martini, and Haley Bennet.

Signature Entertainment will release Race for Glory: Audi vs Lancia on Digital Platforms in the UK and Ireland from 5th February. The following month the film will be released on DVD 11th March.
