Brie Larson in Lessons In Chemistry coming to Apple TV in Autumn

Children, set the table. Your mother needs a moment to herself. Gather around and watch the first Trailer for Lessons In Chemistry, Brie Larson as TV Cook host.

Apple have released the first look promo for the highly anticipated drama based on the bestselling novel from Bonnie Garmus. Larson exchanges her Marvel superpowers for another type of superpower, this time unable to use those powers. Garmus book wasย  also nominated for fictional debut awards last year, plus it wasย  Sunday Times bestseller.

The story inspires women to challenge the status quo, like Elizabeth Zott (Larson). She had a dream of becoming a great scientist, however this is the 1950’s and was seen as a job not for a woman. After loosing her job at a lab she now becomes a TV Cook show host, her show offered more than just cooking.

The trailer is essentially a teaser in what we can expect. Women of all ages should push to inspire in what they want to become, not what society thinks you should be doing. As solid promo for what is a very popular book…

Set in the early 1950s, โ€œLessons in Chemistryโ€ follows Elizabeth Zott (played by Larson), whose dream of being a scientist is put on hold in a patriarchal society. When Elizabeth finds herself fired from her lab, she accepts a job as a host on a TV cooking show, and sets out to teach a nation of overlooked housewives – and the men who are suddenly listening – a lot more than recipes.

The series will also star Lewis Pullman, Aja Naomi King, Stephanie Koenig, Thomas Mann, Patrick Walker, Kevin Sussman, and Beau Bridges. Lessons In Chemistry is set to arrive in the Autumn, exact launch date still to be announced by Apple TV+.
