What is it like to die? Maybe we should leave Robert Pattinson to answer that in the first UK Trailer for Bong Joon-Ho‘s Mickey 17. Which Robert would you like to answer that question? There’s multiples!
Nearly 5 years after the Oscar winning Parasite, Korean filmmaker releases his follow up film. Taking us into space with not 1, 2, 3 but 17 Robert Pattinsons committed to die for the job! He won’t be alone the film also stars Naomi Ackie, Steven Yeun, Toni Collette, Mark Ruffalo, Steve Park, Patsy Ferran, and Angus Imrie.
Mickey 17 is based on the sci-fi novel from Edward Ashton book Mickey7. Mickey Barnes is hired to be a ‘expendable’ sent into space to head to colonize the world of Niflheim. There is a catch, every time he dies, he’s cloned wih everything still intact!
Nothing is straight forward when Bong Joon-Ho is directing. This sounds absolute bonkers premise and it’s packaged as a comedy?! Expect the unexpected, social commentary the only way Joon-Ho can do it. We are slowly moving into that era of those many sci-fi books becoming reality. Technology is terrifyingly moving at a pace needing very little human interaction. This looks great, what do you think?
