Blumhouse Unveil Fantasy Island First Trailer As Things Go ‘Twilight Zone’

When does dreams become nightmares? On Fantasy Island! Sony Pictures has released the first trailer as things go all out Twilight Zone and go full on horror!!

From the late 1970’s into the mid 1980’s the TV Show was a staple part of TV Viewing. Khan himself Ricardo Montalbán played Mr Roarke alongside his ever faithful servant Tattoo (Hervé Villechaize). Throw in Blumhouse you know the 21st century reboot the classic tropes go out the window.

Fantasy Island was that tropical island resort that gave well to do Americans a chance to live their wildest dreams. Those fantasies always turned into an nightmare delivering a lesson in life for those willing to pay the highest buck. Michael Peña stars as Mr Roarke but it seems he has no servant this time.

Blumhouse are on a roll with upcoming reboots like The Invisible Man, Black Christmas not forgetting Halloween last year. The fear factor has been amped but how dark will they go? Lucy Hale seems to be our lead character whose the first to notice things are not right here.

Blumhouse do look like they are inspired by their own back catalogue to deliver this one…

In Blumhouse’s new spin on Fantasy Island, the enigmatic Mr. Roarke makes the secret dreams of his lucky guests come true at a luxurious but remote tropical resort. But when the fantasies turn into nightmares, the guests have to solve the island’s mystery in order to escape with their lives.

Directed by Jeff Wadlow, Fantasy Island is written by Jeff Wadlow & Chris Roach & Jillian Jacobs and is produced by Jason Blum and Marc Toberoff.

The guests will star Maggie Q,Austin Stowell, Portia Doubleday, Jimmy O. Yang, Ryan Hansen, and Michael Rooker.

Fantasy Island will be opened for Uk and Irish guests from 14th February 2020.
