The cast of Nicholas Stoller’s untitled comedy for Amazon MGM Studios continues to grow. It’s now been confirmed that Billy Eichner has joined A-listers Will Ferrell and Zac Efron for the upcoming film.
The comedy focuses on a young convict (Efron) who, upon being released from prison, takes a reality TV courtroom hostage. His motive: revenge against the TV judge (Ferrell) for a past ruling that ruined his life. New addition Eichner will play Bailiff to the judge.
Eichner hasn’t been short of roles over the last few years and continues to keep busy. He most recently reprised his role as Timon in Mufasa: The Lion King and is part of Ethan Coen’s Honey Don’t! currently in pre-production.
Ferrell most recently starred in Despicable Me 4, whilst Efron’s last effort was Netflix’s A Family Affair.
Principal photography for Stoller’s film began in Atlanta in March. Efron, Eichner and Ferrell are also joined by Regina Hall (Scary Movie, Me Time) and Jimmy Tatro (The King of Staten Island, Strays).
Tatro and Stoller are previous collaborators, with the latter casting Tatro in a supporting role in 2025’s You’re Cordially Invited.
