Beware Of The Shadows,Aliens Are Coming In Trailer For Dark Skies

They are making a big name for themselves in Low budget horror films from Paranormal Activity, Sinister, Insidious (and follow up film) especially the found footage sub genre. Now producer Jason Blum, Blumhouse Productions with Scott Stewart (Priest) directing they will stake the same stance but shifting from paranormal horror to Alien horror in Dark Skies and tonight we have the first trailer.

Starring Keri Russell, Josh Hamilton, Dark Skies takes the old Alien myth, throw in a Insidious style possession, home invasion making this worth a look. It follows the same concept as the demons, evil spirits seen in other Blumhouse Production films attacking it’s victims, The Barrett’s at night but hey it’s worked for them before with great effect making unexpected hits of the films.

Dark Skies tells the story of Lacey and Daniel Barrett (Russell&Hamilton) who live a regular suburban couple living a happy life with their sons. Suddenly started things started to escalate furniture starts to re-arranged, one of the sons starts to get nightmares before you know it strange marks appear on his body. Is he possessed? Who is attacking him?Is it Aliens with a sinister purpose?

Just when you start to lose faith in found footage, similar type of horrors then a film Dark Skies comes along to bring some hope. Our only concern is the director Scott Stewart whose last 2 films Priest and Legion we’re nothing but awful maybe Dark Skies will be the hit he’s been looking for a very long time.

Dark Skies will be released in USA on 22 February 2013 , no date confirmed for UK& Ireland. The Film also stars JK Simmons.
