Believe In Ghosts Dan Da Dan: First Encounter Heading To UK Cinemas!

Do you believe in ghosts or aliens? You will when anime Dan Da Dan: First Encounter arrives in  UK Cinemas, Anime Limited release the official UK Trailer.

The hotly anticipated anime is receiving a very special big screen debut! Described as a wild and heartfelt love letter to B-movies with the soul of a teen romcom, will be released in cinemas across the UK and Ireland in a special preview event for one-night only in September.

Based on the popular manga serialised in Shonen JUMP+ . Dan Da Dan is  a supernatural thriller/romantic comedy mash-up about the unlikely partnership between Momo a street-wise girl from a family of mediums, and Okarun, a bookish boy obsessed with aliens. As the two compete to disprove the existence of the other’s passion, they get caught up in encounters with both spiritual and paranormal, imbuing both teenagers with powers beyond belief – and maybe something else.

If you can’t wait for the series to arrive on Crunchyroll, what perfect reason to go see this on the big screen. This film will feature the first 3 episodes of the series plus lots of fun extras.

DAN DA DAN follows Momo, a high school girl from a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate Okarun, an occult freak. The two of them start talking after Momo rescues Okarun from getting bullied. However, an argument ensues between them – Momo believes in ghosts but denies aliens, and Okarun believes in aliens but denies ghosts. To make the mutual deniers believe in each other, Momo goes to an abandoned hospital known for its UFO sightings, and Okarun goes to a tunnel that is said to be haunted. In each place, they encounter overwhelming paranormal activity that transcends comprehension. Amid these predicaments, Momo awakens her hidden power and Okarun gains the power of a curse to challenge the paranormal forces! Their fateful love begins as well!?

Dan Da Dan: First Encounter will play is UK and Irish cinemas on 13th September. The series will launch on Crunchyroll in October.
