Isn’t time for a Woody Allen film to hit our cinema screens? This Friday that happens when Cafe Society  and Warner Bros have sent us 2 clips from the upcoming film.First clip we meet Bobby’s (Jesse Eisenberg) family at the dinner table when his brother Ben (Corey Stall) hands his Mum a a lot of money. Mama been mama she’s wary but as the clip shows it’s all for a new club and Ben is very persuasive. Second Clip we’re with Bobby and Vonnie (Kristen Stewart) at Dinner who let’s Bobby down nicely, likes him only as a friend

We know Woody Allen films are not for everyone, so we won’t preach you must go see this, it’s down to you. But Allen has been making films for a very longtime a style loved by many particularly the actors. If you loved the Coen Brothers Hail,Caesar! Cafe Society might just be a perfect compliment film to go see this weekend. It’s not a dark, existential film like Irrational Man or bleak like Blue Jasmine, more uplifting like Magic In Moonlight’

Set in the 1930s, Woody Allen’s bittersweet romance Café Society follows Bronx-born Bobby Dorfman (Jesse Eisenberg) to Hollywood, where he falls in love, and back to New York, where he is swept up in the vibrant world of high society nightclub life.

Centering on events in the lives of Bobby’s colourful Bronx family, the film is a glittering valentine to the movie stars, socialites, playboys, debutantes, politicians, and gangsters who epitomised the excitement and glamour of the age.

Poignant, and often hilarious, Café Society, a film with a novel’s sweep, takes us on a journey from pastel-clad dealmakers in plush Hollywood mansions, to the quarrels and tribulations of a humble Bronx family, to the rough-and-tumble violence of New York gangsters, to the sparkling surfaces and secret scandals of Manhattan high life.

With Café Society, Woody Allen conjures up a 1930s world that has passed to tell a deeply romantic tale of dreams that never die.

Starring Jeannie Berlin, Steve Carell, Blake Lively, Parker Posey, Kristen Stewart, Corey Stoll and Ken Stott, Café Society opens in UK cinemas September 2nd.
