Awesome New The Raid 2 :Berandal Trailer Attacks Your Mind, Body, Soul
On the eve of it’s World Premiere at Sundance Film Festival a new American trailer for The Raid 2:Berandal attacks your mind, body and soul attacking it at every whim with a gut wrenching punch.
Whilst the tower block was the setting for for the first film The Raid 2:Berandal you know everything is going to be bigger, better chaotic as it’s set in a prison. The set pieces look more operatic probably largely thanks to Bruce Law stunt legend who worked on Hard Boiled, Jackie Chan films pushing the cast to the limits in training before even letting them near a camera.
The new film takes place 2 hours after the first film Rama (Iko Uwais) must go deeper into the crime underbelly of The Jakarta criminal underworld to infiltrate the countries crime syndicate. In order to protect his own family Rama must also find the source of the police corruption finding himself locked up in prison.
The anticipation levels for The Raid 2:Berandal have intensified tenfold, which brings great concern can Gareth Evans deliver his promise? The early bird word on the street he does! From this trailer and from the previous ones you think you’ve seen it all?! We’ve barely scratched the surface! The film runs at 148 minute compared to 101 minutes from the first film, from this trailer we do get a little better idea on the story especially Rama’s personal life. It does look like 2014 has already found it’s favourite unapologetic intense visceral fun ass kicking film of the year.
No word yet on the exact UK release date, it will be later in the year and we believe it may make it’s UK premiere at London Film4 Frightfest in August.If Your American you lucky souls can see the film on 28th March.
