Ariana Grande Exits American Horror Story Series 13
The Pop Star Exits Amidst Scheduling Conflicts...
The Wicked star and singer Ariana Grande has exited the 13th season of American Horror Story after scheduling conflicts with her Eternal Sunshine Tour.
Season 13 of American Horror Story, which airs on 24th September, will go ahead without the pop icon, as she had not shot any scenes yet, meaning no reshoots are required. According to Deadline, changes to production dates of the horror series led to conflict with Grande’s ongoing Eternal Sunshine Tour.
Details regarding the story are under wraps, but a ton of regulars are back, includingย Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Jessica Lange, Emma Roberts and Billie Lourd, to name a few.
Joining the old cast in the new season will be John Waters, Alex Consani, Paul Anthony Kelly, Berto Colรณn, and Joey Pollari. More details are expected when the new season gets its big unveiling at San Diego Comic-Con in just under two weeks.
This season follows 2023-2024’s American Horror Story: Delicate,ย which starred Roberts, Denis O’Hare, Dominic Burgess, Zachary Quinto, Billie Lourd, Grace Gummer, and Leslie Grossman,ย alongside new faces Kim Kardashian, Anabelle Dexter-Jones, Matt Czuchry, Julie White, Cara Delevingne and Juliana Canfield.
Season 12 was among one of the top streamed shows in the US despite mixed reviews, coming in on Rotten Tomatoes as the show’s sixth highest-rated season on the site, shared with the fourth season, Freak Show.
Grande’s AHS appearance would have followed her reprise of Glinda in Wicked: For Good, alongside Cynthia Erivo, based on the smash-hit musical Wicked, which was adapted from the Gregory Maguire book of the same name as a spin-off to Frank Barum’s 1900 fantasy book series.
The season is set to premiere onย FX on September 24th. It will also be available on Hulu in the United States and stream internationally on Disney+.
