Apple Unveil Dickinson Season 3 Teaser

Apple have announced this November they will launch the third and final season for their critically acclaimed award winning show Dickinson. Today we get a tease with a ‘announcement trailer’, with Hailee Stansfield returning as the iconic American poet Emily Dickinson.

Dickinson is a half-hour comedy series that audaciously explores the constraints of society, gender and family from the perspective of rebellious young poet Emily Dickinson. Set in the 19th century, the series is a coming-of-age story that finds Emily to be the unexpected hero for our millennial generation.

In the third season, Emily Dickinson’s most productive time as an artist falls amid the raging American Civil War and an equally fierce battle that divides her own family. As Emily tries to heal the divides around her, she wonders if art can help keep hope alive, and whether the future can be better than the past.

Starring alongside Steinfeld, the returning ensemble cast members includes Toby Huss, Adrian Blake Enscoe, Anna Baryshnikov, Ella Hunt, Amanda Warren, Chinaza Uche, and Jane Krakowski, Wiz Khalifa. The new season will also feature brand new guest stars including Ziwe as ‘Sojourner Truth,’ who also joined as a writer, Billy Eichner as ‘Walt Whitman,’ and Chloe Fineman as ’Sylvia Plath;’ as well as returning favourites Zosia Mamet as ‘Louisa May Alcott’ and Will Pullen as ‘Nobody.’

The third and final season of Dickinson will make its global debut on Friday, 5th November. The 10 part season will premiere the usual first 3 episodes then a new episode every Friday after that.
