The film is adapted from Crockett Johnson‘s popular Children’s books of the same name. Levi stars as our titular character Harold, with Brazilian filmmaker Carlos Saldanha (Ferdinand, Ice Age) directing.
Harold And The Purple Crayon promises to blend animation and live action. Following the adventures of Harold who can draw anything which comes to life, including himself! We first meet him as a young boy, later when he’s grown up, he’s drawn himself into the real world. What he does have to do whilst he’s there, is do a lot of growing up!
The rest of the cast includes Lil Rel Howery, Benjamin Bottani, Jemaine Clement, Tanya Reynolds, Alfred Molina and Zooey Deschanel.
