Anxious People: First Look at Angelina Jolie In Upcoming Marc Foster Film

Angelina Jolie in Anxious

Black Bear, Hope Studios, 2DUX2, and World Wide Word have just released a first-look image of Academy Award® winner Angelina Jolie in their upcoming film Anxious People, which started principal photography this week in London. She is due to star in the film alongside BAFTA-winner Aimee Lou Wood and three-time Emmy nominee Jason Segel.

The film is an adaptation of a novel by Fredrik Backman and will be directed by Marc Forster, who directed the likes of The Man Called Otto and World War Z. The film follows investment banker Zara (Jolie), who begrudgingly finds herself mingling with a group of strangers at an open house the day before Christmas Eve. When a reluctant bank robber, Grace (Wood), inadvertently takes the group hostage, chaos and oversharing ensue, secrets are revealed, and literally nothing goes according to plan. It is being described as “a poignant, charming film about a crime that never took place, a would-be bank robber who disappears into thin air, and eight extremely anxious strangers who find they have more in common than they ever imagined“.
