Anthony Hopkins Vesrus Demons in THE RITE

When it comes to Sir Anthony Hopkins you know what your going to get from him, a solid versatile performance, even in the recent Wolfman movie he did have his plaudits. Even been in his early 70’s he stills shows no sign of triming down the parts, soon we will see him as Odin the Norse God comic book hero Thor, there is also the role in You will meet a tall dark stranger the new Woody allen flick. Today we learn that he will also appear in The Rite according to Heat Vision a supernatural thriller based on the Matt Baglio book.

The book will be adapted to the big screen by Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader writer Michael Petroni with Swedish director Mikael Hafstrom directing. The movie will be based on scary true events of asn dillusioned student at a Vatican run exorcism school who finds his faith through demonic forces. Sir Anthony will play a exorcism specialist priest who has method seen a bit orthadox for some peoples tastes, hopefully this will be the start of his road back into better roles after a few years of poor/questionable roles.
