Another New UK Trailer For Steven Soderbergh’s Haywire
This weekend saw the release of Steven Soderbergh’s pandemic virus thriller Contagion but already the marketing campaign for his next film Hay Wire is already underway and we’ve just received the new second trailer.
This time it’s back to a straight forward thriller with MMA starย Gina Caranoย alongsideย Ewan McGregor, Michael Fassbender, Michael Douglas, Antonio Banderasย andย Channing Tatum.
Mallory Kane (Carano) is a highly trained operative who works for a government security contractor in the dirtiest, most dangerous corners of the world.ย After successfully freeing a Chinese journalist held hostage, she is double crossed and left for dead by someone close to her in her own agency.ย Suddenly the target of skilled assassins who knew her every move, Mallory must find the truth in order to stay alive.
Will Soderbergh’s tradition of using a unknown actress or first timer as the lead role succeed for him with Haywire? It worked for him with ex-porn star Sasha Grey in The Girlfriend experience however that film did not contain any well know cast so the focus was on grey compared to Carano who is up against some heavyweights in male actors department. But as anyone knows Gina Carano is a girl who doesn’t walk away from a fight so we’ll find out on January 20th 2012 when the film is released, a big thanks to momentum for the new trailer.
