Anna Kendrick Picks A ‘Killer Date’ In Woman Of The Hour Trailer

Everyone has probably had that date from hell at what point of our lives. In Anna Kendrick‘s Woman Of The Hour, she picks a ‘killer date’ literally watch first trailer!

We all have to start somewhere and for the Pitch Perfect actor, it’s time to be behind the camera. Anna’s directorial feature debut is now heading to Netflix who have released this spine chilling first promo. She is also the lead actor in her own film finding herself on date with a serial killer!

Woman Of The Hour is inspired by the true events of a 1970s TV date show of Cheryl Bradshaw (Kendrick) a woman looking for love. She goes onto the show The Dating Game unaware she has picked serial killer (Daniel Zovatto)during his killing spree.

Despite his terror, little was known about Rodney Alcala who inspired this film. He targeted no just woman but also children in Los Angeles area. When your looking for love sense of danger goes out the window. This trailer may not reveal too much, what it does do well is give you a feel of uneasiness. It has a big focus on a couple of scenes between Cheryl and Alcala, not the actual TV Date show itself.

The stranger-than-fiction story of an aspiring actress in 1970s Los Angeles and a serial killer in the midst of a yearslong murder spree, whose lives intersect when they’re cast on an episode of The Dating Game.

The rest of the cast includes Daniel Zovatto, Tony Hale, Nicolette Robinson, Pete Holmes, Autumn Best, Kathryn Gallagher, and Kelley Jakle. Woman Of The Hour will premiere on Netflix from 18th October.
