Sakamoto Days will be returning to Netflix for a second season! And, to prove it’s happening, the streamer has dropped a teaser trailer.

The new season and trailer were officially announced at Jump Festa โ€˜26, Makuhari Messe Chiba Japan, where Netflix also announced Steel Ball Run: JoJo Bizarre Adventure (March 19th) and released a look at Chopper in the live action One Piece Season 2.

Sakamoto Days saw the former greatest hitman of all, Taro Sakamoto, retiring in the name of love. But when his past catches up with him, he must fight to protect his beloved family. Looking at the promo below our retired assassin might just go through a big transformation.ย  Season one ended with Taro and co at the Japan Clear Creation (JCC), an elite academy for aspiring assassins. The focus of part 2 from the first season was here and that arc will continue.

This was one of Netflix’s most popular shows and anime in 2025.ย  With 14 weeks in the streamer’s top 10 list, it’s surprising the renewal took so long.
