Andrew Stanton’s Sci-fi In The Blink Of An Eye Gets A Trailer

Later this month Disney+ gives us a story about where we came from, where we are and where we’re going. It’s In The Blink Of An Eye and the UK trailer has just dropped.

Andrew Stanton directs in what is his second live action feature, the first being John Carter, but he’s better known for Oscar winning animations Wall-E and Finding Nemo. This latest film has a cast that includes Rashida Jones, Kate McKinnon, Daveed Diggs, Jorge Vargas, Tanaya Beatty.

In The Blink Of An Eye is an interwoven trilogy of stories that contemplates the essence of humanity throughout time. Across the millennia, one constant has remained: our desire to connect with each other and the world that sustains us.

While early reactions are mixed, overall this is getting a solid reaction. We’ll get the chance to make up our own minds at the end of this month.

Synopsis | In the distant past, a Neanderthal family (Jorge Vargas, Tanaya Beatty), displaced from their home, struggles to survive – protecting their children and learning to wield primitive tools in an unforgiving world. In the present day, Claire (Rashida Jones), a driven post-graduate anthropologist studying ancient proto-human remains, begins a tentative relationship with a fellow student, Greg (Daveed Diggs). And two centuries later, aboard a spaceship bound for a distant planet, Coakley (Kate McKinnon) and a sentient onboard computer confront a mysterious disease threatening the ship’s oxygen-producing plants.

Three storylines, spanning thousands of years, intersect and reflect on hope, connection, and the circle of life.

In The Blink Of An Eye will stream exclusively in the UK and Ireland on Disney+ (Hulu in the U.S) from February 27th.
