Ever watch the first season of a TV series and think its highly underrated, but then watch season 2 and think the last episode of season 1 should have ended it entirely?
Crash (the TV Series, not the film) is a perfect example of this. The first season was a masterpiece that kept me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next. Season 2? Not so much. Don’t get me wrong, it had it’s moment’s, but for the most part, it just felt like one big fiasco.
It wasn’t a problem with the new cast or any of the old cast members that stayed for season 2, either. The bad story telling and inessential side plots were my gripe. Watching most of season 2 to was a challenge for me, to say the least. On one hand, I wanted to see how the dysfunctional relationship between Inez and Jimmy played out, I wanted to see Ben Cendars find the punk who murdered his daughter, but on the other hand I didn’t want to watch all the nonsense just to get to the good parts.
Anyway, if you haven’t watched Crash, (you know by now I’m talking about the TV series) I suggest you do. Maybe you’ll have a different perspective or then again, maybe you won’t.
