American Trailer For Pedro Almodóvar’s The Skin I Live In

Yesterday I headed off to the cinema and watched a double bill of The Rise of The Apes and The Skin I live In which is a strange but thrilling movie, one that Pierre at Cinehouse has been raving about and yes it is worth the hype. Put aside any laziness from not wanting to read subtitles embrace the film and Almodovar will certainly take you on a intriguing ride which is thrilling, sexy, dark story you may want to jump off at any time but stay with it as it has an unexpected twist!

When I head to the cinema I seem to find the oddball characters that roam the foyers of cinema, many looking like an extra from Romero’s The Crazies, those guys who sit at the end of train platforms spotting train but instead of train numbers they’ll tell you every bit of details from tinseltown. Yesterday about 7 rows down from myself we had the phantom sleeper who must have been so tired not realised the hotel whose snoring was excessive! After several attempts to waken him he was finally escorted from the screen to the hotel and we continued to watch the movie.

Today Yahoo have released the American Trailer which like the previous trailers contains the same narrative and music but now that ive seen this movie it is a little bit of a spoiler, hopefully no one else will catch on as this will be a movie the American cinephiles will enjoy. THE SKIN I LIVE IN(La piel que habito) stars Antonio Banderas, Elena Anaya, Marisa Paredes, Bárbara Lennie, Blanca Suárez Fernando Cayo.
