In Alien: Covenant Featurette Ridley Scott Is A 'Rare Breed'

Whatever you think of Prometheus or the upcoming Alien: Covenant movie, when you look back at all of Ridley Scott‘s work, he is a rare breed of filmmaker. In a new featurette from 20th Century Fox Pictures, the cast of the upcoming Aliens sequel line up to give praise to the visionary behind the franchise. Michael Fassbender calls Scott a ‘rare breed’, Katherine Waterston says he’s given the cinephiles as a massive legacy with the franchise. Ridley Scott himself calls the franchise his ‘baby’ and he explains how he must raise the bar to deliver those scares….

Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created, with ALIEN: COVENANT, a new chapter in his groundbreaking ALIEN franchise. The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.

Alien: Covenant is set to land in UK&Ireland from 12th May (USA 19th May) and will have a crew that consists of Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollett, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England, Benjamin Rigby.
