Albert Finney Joins Cast Of James Bond 23

It’s finally great to see James Bond franchise up and running again with work finally started on the 23rd film, you can say the last few years where a stark warning even the so called strong franchises are at danger with the current crise and no one can themselves safe. Now Sam Mendes is in place to direct ,Daniel Craig, Judi Dench returning with Javier Bardem playing the baddie and could be joined soon with Naomie Harris as Miss Moneypennie, Ralph FeinnesBen Whishaw, Helen McCroy, and Berenice Marlohe. whilst alot of names are near confirming or officially confirmed  Dailymail are reporting one new name is confirmed and thats 5 time academy award nominee Albert Finney.

The British newspaper is reporting Finney’s part within the film will be  “a reasonably big role” playing “a Foreign Office mandarin with powers over the Secret Intelligence Service.” basically he will be M’s boss! At this point  the plot and the films title is still under wraps however we’ll find out next week as there is a press conference at Pinewood Studios to officially launch the film and reveal all and find out if Skyfall is the film’s title.

It is great to see the veteran actor back doing what he does best starring in big films after a 5 year absence due to prostate cancer and if this news is true it will mean 2012 will be a busy year for him. Already he’s confirmed to return to reprise his creepy role as Dr Hirsch in Bourne Legacy with Tony Gilroy directing. It’s been a long time since anyone can say there excited about a new James Bond Film with a fantastic strong cast been assembled anf if Oscar nominations is what the franchise are aiming for they have the right director in place with Sam Mendes who becomes James Bond’s first ever Oscar winning director at the helm. Its exciting days ahead for Britain’s number one spy, James Bond 23 is scheduled for a October 26th 2012 release date here in UK&Ireland with the American release November 9th.
