Alan Bennett‘s Talking Heads, was an essential part of British Television for many in the late 1980s right through the 1990s. Last Summer during the first Pandemic Lockdown a third series returned, with TV a big focus for us all what better time to release.

Today Dazzler Media announce they are set to release the acclaimed and star-studded new series, available to own on Blu-ray, DVD and on Digital from March.

Talking Heads first started in 1982 as an one off Tv Play, thanks to the success of that play returned in 1988 for a series. The series consist of six monologues, short one person plays covering various topics and for this new series a focus on Covid-19 Lockdown. Dramatic, funny with recurring themes of death, illness, guilt and isolation.

Alan Bennett’s critically acclaimed and multi-award-winning Talking Heads monologues first aired on BBC Television in 1988 and 1998, breaking new ground for television and widely celebrated as masterpieces.

Ten of the original pieces have been remade, with the addition of two new monologues written by Bennett in 2019. These remakes feature some of Britain’s biggest TV & film stars, including Jodie Comer, Martin Freeman, Kristin Scott Thomas, Tamsin Greig, Maxine Peake, Lesley Manville and Imelda Staunton.
