A New Clip For CARS 2 appears, Meet Lewis Hamilton
2 weeks ago I sat watched THE PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGERS TIDES and one of the previews was this film CARS 2 and if you follow this site you know I’m not a fan of 3D Movies. I’m especially not a fan of 3D Animated movies don’t see the point however after watching the trailer for CARS 2 in 3D I was extremely impressed by the quality and I know there’s alot of debate going on especially in USA about the poor quality of the actual 3D movie with allegations some cinema chains are not using the proper equipment, though out of the movie and trailers CARS 2 was certainly the strongest 3D, Ive seen. I do also think CARS 2 has received alot of unfair bad press simply because its seen as Pixar’s ‘weakspot’ by some critics but for a movie that made nearly $500 million (£390m) that’s certainly not a failure and the kids must love it so thats why Pixar made movie 2!
Disney UK have kindly dropped a new clip from the movie which has British racing star Lewis Hamilton(in his car form off course) chats to American racing legend Jeff Corvette and Lightning McQueen in this clip from Cars 2.
CARS 2 stars the voices of Tony Shalhoub, John Ratzenberger, Owen Wilson, Cheech Marin,Larry The Cable Guy, Bonnie Hunt, Michael Caine and Michael Keaton with John Lasseterdirecting with the movie, which will be released on July 22nd (USA June 24th).
T Star racecar Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) and the incomparable tow truck Mater (voice of Larry the Cable Guy) take their friendship to exciting new places in “Cars 2” when they head overseas to compete in the first-ever World Grand Prix to determine the world’s fastest car. But the road to the championship is filled with plenty of potholes, detours and hilarious surprises when Mater gets caught up in an intriguing adventure of his own: international espionage. Torn between assisting Lightning McQueen in the high-profile race and towing the line in a top-secret spy mission, Mater’s action-packed journey leads him on an explosive chase through the streets of Japan and Europe, trailed by his friends and watched by the whole world. Adding to the fast-paced fun is a colorful new all-car cast that includes secret agents, menacing villains and international racing competitors.John Lasseter returns to the driver’s seat to direct this follow-up to his 2006 Golden Globe®-winning “Cars.” “Cars 2” is co-directed by Brad Lewis, producer of the Oscar®-winning film “Ratatouille,” and produced by visual effects industry veteran Denise Ream (associate producer, “Up”; visual effects executive producer, “Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.
