A First Look At George Clooney’s The Midnight Sky

Been a while since George Clooney has lead a film and later this year in The Midnight Sky. He’s been busy directing and producing (Suburbicon and Catch-22), Money Monster was his last lead role, his latest film sees him head into space.

The film is a post apocalyptic sci-fi which also stars Felicity Jones. Set after an extinction-level event on Earth, remaining survivors live in an arctic station. Clooney leads the scientists living on the station attempting to prevent astronauts returning.

In an recent interview with Vanity Fair Clooney described his film as a mix of Alfonso Cuaron’s Gravity and The Revenant. Very bleak stuff Clooney’s character a dying scientist who maybe looking for some redemption and put rights to wrongs.

Netflix haven’t yet released any footage in a shape of Trailer, for now we have a First Look at some images from the film…

This post-apocalyptic tale follows Augustine (George Clooney), a lonely scientist in the Arctic, as he races to stop Sully (Felicity Jones) and her fellow astronauts from returning home to a mysterious global catastrophe. Clooney directs the adaptation of Lily Brooks-Dalton’s acclaimed novel Good Morning, Midnight, co-starring David Oyelowo, Kyle Chandler, Demián Bichir and Tiffany Boone.

The cast also includes David Oyelowo, Tiffany Boone with Demián Bichir and Kyle Chandler, and introducing Caoilinn Springall.

The Midnight Sky will be exclusively released on Netflix from December 2020.
