Being bad has never felt so good and next month U.S.A indie comedy Yes,God, Yes will arrive in the UK. Ahead of it’s release in the USA, The Movie Partnership have announced Karen Maine’s (Obvious Child) film will be released the other side of the Atlantic.
The film stars Stranger Things Natalia Dyer and Alisha Boe (13 Reasons Why), tackles important questions about religion, sexuality and the struggles of going through high school in Midwest America in the early 00s.
The film is an semi-autobiographical which started life as a short film back in 2017. After 1.5 million views the film makes it’s feature length premiere next month and will leave you full of ‘guilt’ hopefully plenty of awkward laughs…
Sixteen-year-old Alice (Natalia Dyer) has always been a good Catholic but when an innocent AOL chat turns racy, she discovers masturbation and is overwhelmed with guilt. Seeking redemption, she attends a mysterious religious retreat to try and suppress her urges but it isn’t easy, especially after a cute upperclassman (Wolfgang Novogratz) starts flirting with her.
The film also stars Timothy Simons, Wolfgang Novogratz, Francesca Reale, Susan Blackwell, Parker Wierling, Alisha Boe, and Donna Lynne Champlin.
Yes,God, Yes will be released by The Movie Partnership (TMP) as a Digital HD/VOD from 17th August in the UK and Ireland. Available from your usual UK Digital Platforms, iTunes(Pre-Order), Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Sky Store, Virgin Media, Rakuten and TalkTalk. If your in the USA you can see the film either on Virtual Cinemas and selected Drive-ins from 24th July. ( 28th July release for VOD and Digital HD).
