The powers of pee are pissing down Ballylough Dare Cavan

Aaron Monaghan plays our lead man Jimmy who finds himself Groundhog Day-like purgatory. Now back in his hometown he finds himself on the bumpy road to redemption. Facing his guilt and past shames with his path taking him to love.

When it comes to comedy, the Irish are one of the best in delivery and their not scared to take a dark tone too. If you love Irish humour this one looks to tick all the boxes when it comes to expectations.

The film follows Jimmy, played by Cavan native Aaron Monaghan (MAZE, Assassin’s Creed), on his road to redemption after returning to his hometown. Stuck in a Groundhog Day-like purgatory, Jimmy embarks on a sacrificial and outlandish journey to rid himself of his guilt and shame from the past, ultimately redeeming himself through love.

The eclectic cast from Irish stage and screen includes Aisling O’Mara and Kieran Roche along with comedian Kevin McGahern (Republic of Telly), the Oscar-nominated screenwriter Shane Connaughton (My Left Foot), and author Pat McCabe (The Butcher Boy, Breakfast on Pluto).

There’s no confirmed release date but Wildcard Distribution will be releasing Redemption of a Rogue in UK and Irish cinemas later in 2020.
