Know Your Worth In Miranda July’s Kajillionaire Trailer

It’s been 9 years in the making and now Miranda July has a new movies, Kajillionaire. Today Universal Pictures have the evidence in the shape of the film’s UK Trailer.

The film made it’s world premiere back in January at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. The film gained some rave reviews and now Universal want to share the love in hopefully cinema screens near you.

The film tells the tale of old dolio (Evan Rachel Wood), a young woman whose spent nearly 26 years of her life be trained to be a con-artist. All thanks to her parents Theresa (Debra Winger) and Robert (Richard Jenkins). Things are turned upside down during heist when they scam a stranger (Gina Rodriguez).

This film was hot property with the winning studio winning the rights over A24. If you know July’s Me and You and Everyone We Know (2005),The Future (2011) she has a unique tone and style. This seems to have a nice balance of humour and drama that promises to pull at your heart strings. Even some saying this is similar in story to Kore-eda Hirokazu’s Shoplifters...

From acclaimed writer/director Miranda July comes a profoundly moving and wildly original comedy. Con-artists Theresa (Debra Winger) and Robert (Richard Jenkins) have spent 26 years training their only daughter, Old Dolio (Evan Rachel Wood), to swindle, scam, and steal at every opportunity. During a desperate, hastily conceived heist, they charm a stranger (Gina Rodriguez) into joining their next scam, only to have their entire world turned upside down.

Kajillionaire doesn’t have a confirmed UK or Irish cinema release date, just ‘coming soon’. If you live in the USA, 18th September is your release date.
