Ocean’s 8 Cast Take Subway In First Look Image

It maybe 18 months away before it arrives in UK and Irish cinemas but Warner Bros want to get us onboard the Ocean’s 8 movie soon as. Taking a break from the DC Universe as well as Harry Potter spin-off they go back to Ocean’s Trilogy, and today releasing a new image.

The Original movie was released in 1960 with Frank Sinatra as Danny Ocean with Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, Peter Lawford, Joey Bishop the Rat Pack. All well-dressed crooners who pull off a heist of robbing 5 Las Vegas Casinos in one night. 41 year’s on a remake arrived with George Clooney as Ocean alongside Brad Pitt, Don Cheadle, Matt Damon, Casey Affleck to name a few. It was a remake that turned into a trilogy of movies and 11 years on a spin-off and the boys will take a back seat as the girls take over.

So how does Ocean’s 8 connect with Ocean’s 11? One lady and that lady is Danny Ocean’s Sister Debbie played by Sandra Bullock. In the above image, we meet all the conspirators all together on the subway train: Cate Blanchett and Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, with Rihanna and Helena Bonham Carter. The image itself doesn’t reveal much apart from these girls are off your classy criminals just like the boys who kicked off the franchise.

What we do know from the plot details that heist has moved from the ‘devil’s playground’ of Vegas to the metropolis of New York. Their target will be a gallery and a precious necklace ran by a nasty owner played by Damian Lewis. What type of knecklace we don’t know at this stage but if it’s a diamond one, like the saying it will be a ‘girl’s best friend’.

The Hunger Games Gary Ross will be directing with Matt Damon reprising his role as Linus Caldwell joined by Richard Armitage, Olivia Munn.

Ocean’s 8 arrives Summer 2018.
