On the first day of 2017 what we’re about to see, hear and feel are the memories of our ancestors, but if that’s too painful you can just watch Assassin’s Creed. I’m no gamer but I think we can say Ubisoft‘s best-selling video game is one of the best selling and popular games ever made. There will be a lot of details we have to know when the movie adaptation arrives in January and 20th Century Fox Pictures want to help too. Today they

Today they have sent us a brand new behind the scenes featurette call ‘Building The World‘ which examines the epic world of Assassin’s Creed. Lot’s of mythology in the world and it maybe a lot of info to take in for strangers to the game, but at the same time hardcore fans will be looking for certain things too. This 2 minute promo will examine  how they will create that world on the big screen, check it out…

We don’t have to be rocket scientists to know it will be virtually impossible to cover every little thing fans love about the gaming franchise. It’s a mammoth  task and Fox and Ubisoft are determined they will succeed where other movie game adaptations have failed.

Assassin’s Creed we meet Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) and estrange violent man on death row, who through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, he descended from 15th Century Assassins. Thanks to a device called Animus he experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguila who also a member of a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organisation in the present day.A fight for humanity begins.

When it comes to adaptations of anything like games it’s sometimes very tricky to keep a balance between keeping nostalgia high for fans but not alienating new fans. On paper, Justin Kurzel might not have have been the likely candidate to direct a movie like this. But he looks  to have made the movie more appealing, who knows he maybe the director to break that hoodoo, it doesn’t have to be perfect just honest and entertaining which this looks!

Assassin’s Creed will be released in UK&Ireland on 1st January 2017, The film also stars Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons, Brendan Gleeson,Michael K. Williams and Ariane Labad.
