Ten years on from the events of Monsters, and the ‘Infected Zones’ have now spread worldwide. In the Middle East a new insurgency has begun. At the same time there has also been a proliferation of Monsters in that region. The Army decide to draft in more numbers to help deal with this insurgency…
Now that Gareth Edwards has moved onto bigger more destructive monsters with Godzilla we can see with the sequel it’s not so much a ‘human based’ story more emphasis on the monsters and the military combat. With the low budget film-making, a fairly unknown cast in place those expecting more tentacles may get their wish for this with a little of the human side to keep all sides happy. Green has the blessing of Gareth Edwards who got similar support for Monsters
