March To War In The Hobbit: TheBattle Of The Five Armies First Trailer

The Hobbit - The Battle Of The Five Armies-Martin Freeman

Will it be peace or war as Thorin Oakenshield takes his company of Dwarves warriors into one final battle with the vengeful Dragon as they march to war in the first teaser trailer for The Hobbit: Battle Of Five Armies.

Like many film goodies finding their way onto the interwebs comic-con has provided another potential epic film as the Dwarves now have more than Smaug on their minds. The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies brings war to Middle Earth with the rise of a familiar foe Sauron connecting The Hobbit with the Lord Of The Rings trilogy.

The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies is the ‘defining chapter’ in the series as Goblins, Elves, Men, Eagles and Dwarves attempt for control of Erebor, The Lonely Mountain. There is also a small matter of it’ s current occupant the dragon Smaug  whose determined that his new keep and the treasure that lies in it will still be his. But as Thorin becomes blinded by his plight to regain Erebor, an unseen enemy rises, Sauron who sends the Orcs to Erebor, but will men, Elves and Dwarves unite or face death?

On evidence of this 2 minute trailer we might just have a mighty battle to rival The Two Towers Helm’s Deep battle, a battle that looks spectacular. With this footage you can now appreciate the film’s new name  and the song Pippin (Billy Boyd) sang before the Battle of Minas Tirith in The Return of The King delivers some homage to the affray too.

It’s stil looks a bit rough around the edges as in VFX however with this been unleashed on Hall H of the Comic-con the attendees will just simply be excited to see new footage. Are you? We are! Expect the proper full trailer around October time.

The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Fives Armies arrives in UK on 12th December 2014 starring Martin Freeman, Benedict Cumberbatch,Richard Armitage, Orlando Bloom, Lee Pace, Evangeline Lilly, Aidan Turner, James Nesbitt, Luke Evans, Ken Stott, Ian Mckellan, Cate Blanchett and Billy Connolly.
