Set 15 years after the first film Dawn of The Planet Of The Apes we meet the last remaining humans survivors from the deadly virus whose existence is threatening the increasing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar (Andy Serkis).
Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes was an unexpected hit when it was released Rupert Wyatt set the level that future films had to target and on today’s trailer Matt Reeves he risen above that. What we get here is a good look at the film’s tone and what Reeves is aiming for in the film, a very dark tone which shows Earth is in a post Apocalyptic environment. If your looking for a glimpse at the apes you’ll be disappointed only a couple of seconds at the end, so the wait to see Ape City will have to wait a bit longer.
